From the studio

A look behind the scenes at how Mountain Mornings pieces come to life — from my original illustrations to the final products, made with a mix of local production and hands-on work in my studio in Maple Ridge, BC.

This page is here to show you more of that process.

Everything starts with an original illustration

Every piece at Mountain Mornings begins with an original illustration, inspired by the forests, wildlife, and quiet outdoor moments around me.

From there, each product takes its own path — some are printed locally, others are finished by me in my home studio- often between nap times, packing orders, and everyday family life.

Stickers

My stickers begin as original illustrations created in my studio and inspired by the outdoors here in British Columbia.

Once the design is ready, I work with a local Canadian printing company to bring them to life using durable vinyl, weatherproof finishes, and eco-friendly inks.

Keeping sticker production local allows me to support Canadian manufacturing while making sure the final product reflects the quality I want Mountain Mornings to stand for.

Camping Mugs

Camping mugs are one of the products I get to bring to life in my studio.

I source blank enamel mugs and sublimate each design myself in my studio, turning my illustrations into something practical, giftable, and made to be part of everyday rituals and outdoor adventures.

Being directly involved in this process means each mug is finished with care right here at home.

Apparel

For apparel, I start with responsibly sourced blank pieces and add my illustrations using screen-printed heat transfers made in Canada.

They combine the quality of screen printing with the flexibility of heat transfers — allowing me to produce thoughtfully, without overstock or unnecessary waste.

The transfers are OEKO-TEX® certified, with a soft, smooth feel and long-lasting finish that holds up through everyday wear.

Discover plantable greeting cards

My plantable cards are the ones of the most hands-on products in the shop.

I print, trim, and fold each one by hand using seed paper sourced from a women-owned company in Winnipeg — made with non-GMO seeds and without tree fibers.

They’re designed to be planted after they’re gifted, growing into wildflowers and turning a simple moment into something lasting.

Greeting Cards

My illustrated greeting cards are printed locally in Vancouver from my original artwork, keeping the process close to home and the final quality just right.

Back in my studio, each card is paired with an envelope and carefully packaged by hand.

They’re made from 100% recycled paper — no new trees are used — and are fully compostable.

Hats

My hats are finished right here in my studio.

I use faux leather patches with my original designs and heat press each one by hand, creating a durable piece made for everyday wear.
